The American Alliance of Museums recognized the CRF Museum for the verification of core documents including an educational mission statement, institutional code of ethics, strategic institutional plan, disaster preparedness & emergency response plan, and collection management policy. The American Association for State & Local History has acknowledged the completion of thirteen certificates in the Standards for Excellence Program in the fields of Mission, Vision & Governance, Audience, Interpretation, Stewardship of Collections, Stewardship of Historic Structures, and Management. Support for the CRF Museum has been provided by Ohio Humanities, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the federal American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. |
Kenny Libben, Curator Kenny began as Assistant Curator in 2010 before being named Curator in 2011. Under his direction, the museum experienced incredible growth and quickly became a landmark organization in the community. He serves on the board of the International Council of Museums' International Committee for Regional Museums (ICOM-ICR), and also serves on and consults for a number of local non-profit organizations. Tom Young, Facilities Manager Tom has served as the facilities manager for the museum since 2022. In this role, he has implemented new maintenance routines and inspections while significantly improving the general appearance of the facility. Young has served as a councilman on Loudonville Village council for over 10 years, and is a retired permit coordinator with H&H Custom Homes. Awards: Judy Dudte, Volunteer Coordinator A native of Celina, Ohio, Judy Dudte retired from Englefield Oil Company, where she served as Director of Food Service. Her lifelong passion for antiques and all things old naturally drew her to the museum world. An avid quilter, Judy brings a keen eye for craftsmanship and history to everything she does. She enjoys staying active in the community, working with fellow volunteers, and meeting the many people—and perspectives—that come through the museum’s doors. |
Denny Campbell, Workman Cabin Site Coordinator Denny has served as the Cabin Manager since 2022, helping recruit a team of historical reenactors and interpreters to provide tours and discuss the role of the c. 1838 Workman Cabin in local history, as well as the general way of life for settlers on the Ohio frontier. Campbell is retired from the Air National Guard, and has founded multiple non-profit organizations to educate and support physically handicapped veterans and hunters. Passionate about living history, he participates in numerous eras of historical reenactment primarily focused on late 1700s and early 1800s. Dave Switzer, Copus Hill Site Coordinator Dave Switzer operates the historic Marken-Blackfork Inn, located in his grandfather’s former home, where his passion for family and community history runs deep. A skilled handyman with a knack for carpentry, Dave brings both craftsmanship and care to everything he does—whether preserving the past or lending a hand in the present. He also serves on the village’s Tree Commission, reflecting his commitment to maintaining the beauty and heritage of the local landscape. As a descendant of the Copus family, Dave was naturally drawn to support the museum’s preservation efforts at the Copus Hill Historic Site. |
