What is the Christkindlmarkt?

Experience the magic of a Christkindlmarkt—a traditional German Christmas market filled with twinkling lights, wooden vendor cabins, and the scents of mulled wine and holiday treats. Stroll through festive stalls offering handmade gifts, seasonal décor, and delicious foods, all while enjoying music and old-world charm.

Rooted in the area’s rich German heritage, the Mohican Christkindlmarkt is a celebration of tradition, community, and holiday spirit—making it the perfect way to shop, sip, and celebrate the season.

When and Where

The market is held Friday December 5 & Saturday December 6, and on Friday December 12 & Saturday December 13.
The market is open from 5:00 to 9:00 in the evenings.

The market is held on South Water Street in downtown Loudonville.
Public parking is free and accessible throughout downtown.

Become a Vendor

We’re looking for passionate makers, bakers, and artisans to join us at the Mohican Christkindlmarkt! Modeled after the traditional German Christmas markets, our event celebrates craftsmanship, holiday cheer, and community spirit.

Visitors will be looking for timeless Christkindlmarkt favorites such as:

  • Handcrafted ornaments and wooden toys

  • Seasonal décor and wreaths

  • Candles, soaps, and cozy textiles

  • Handmade jewelry, pottery, and artwork

  • Festive baked goods, roasted nuts, chocolates, and candies

  • Hearty foods and warm drinks like glühwein, cider, and cocoa

We’re excited to partner with the Loudonville Farmers Market to streamline our vendor application process. Applications will be managed through their vendor platform—simply create a free account to get started. When filling out your application, you may see questions intended for farmers or food producers; feel free to skip any that don’t apply to you.

Vendor spaces are limited, and priority will be given to those whose products best reflect the goals of the Christkindlmarkt—especially items inspired by German or European traditions, or unique handcrafted goods that make our market truly special.
