The Legacy Club

The CRF Museum was established thanks to the generosity of Cleo Redd Fisher, who bequeathed the bulk of her estate to the Mohican Historical Society in 1969.  The Legacy Club honors those who, like Ms. Fisher, leave a gift after their passing.  By making a bequest or other planned gift, you continue to help our organization make an important difference in our community.

There are numerous ways to give, some as simple as a note in your will or designating our organization as a beneficiary on your insurance policy.  Some planned gifts may return income or other benefits to the donor until their passing.  You can also leave assets and property as a substitute for cash.

Tax benefits may include reducing or eliminating capital gains tax, estate tax, and more.

We encourage you to discuss options with your lawyer or financial advisor.

Help Build Our Collections

What good is a museum without artifacts?  The CRF Museum relies on the generosity of the community to help build and expand our collection of historic artifacts.  These items help us tell the story of our past, and serve to build a better understanding of how far we've come.  When considering accepting an item (known as accessioning), we must carefully ensure it fits the museum's collections policy and that we have the space and resources to properly store and care for it.  Regardless of our decision, we always appreciate when someone extends an offer to donate an item.

Interested?  Call us at 419 994-4050 or email photographs to info@crfmuseum.com

No drop-offs permitted, please make arrangements with the museum for the curator to inspect your items before a decision can be made to accept.  Donated items become the property of the CRF Museum.  As the museum hosts an extensive collection, we cannot guarantee that your item will be displayed at any given time.
