The CRF Museum relies on the support of the community to continue to preserve and promote the history of our area. Volunteers are always welcome at the museum and may serve a number of roles. The two roles we are currently seeking more volunteers for are Docents and Collection Assistants. Volunteers in good standing may be eligible for free membership with the Mohican Historical Society. Anyone interested in volunteering should contact the Curator of the CRF Museum.
The CRF Museum is currently recruiting docents to lead tours and provide educational information to visitors. Docents will primarily work in exhibit spaces. Public speaking is a critical skill for this role. Docents will be provided with the knowledge and skills necessary to complete these tasks.
The CRF Museum is currently recruiting collections assistants to aid in the preservation of the museum’s collections and assist in research. The museum’s collections include thousands of photographs, documents, and artifacts that record the history of the Mohican area. Collections Assistants will primarily work in the museum’s archival facilities. Attention to detail is critical in this role. Assistants will be provided with the knowledge and skills necessary to complete these tasks.
