The Loudonville Free Street Fair

Exhibit: Loudonville Free Street Fair

Harvest celebrations were a regular occurrence in agricultural communities such as Loudonville during the 19th century, but when a single farmer failed to harvest his crops in time the local celebration was thrown into chaos—resulting in 125 years and counting of the Loudonville Free Street Fair.  From produce stands and livestock tents to mechanical carnival rides and high-wire acrobatics, the fair has become the most anticipated event in the community.
